Calvary Episcopal Church is an inventive urban church located in the heart of downtown Memphis.

Founded in 1832, Calvary's parish and urban mission and ministry flow out of the life and teachings of Christ. Calvary's vibrant community of Christian believers seek to know and follow God through quality worship, education, outreach, music, fellowship, and pastoral support. Calvary also strives to bring Christ's love and action to those beyond its doors, including the poor, the homeless, and the addicted.

Calvary Church is a flagship Jubilee Center of the National Episcopal Church, having developed eight separate non-profit ministries. These ministries range from work with the homeless to an AIDS Burial Ministry, and from a nationally acclaimed daily Lenten Preaching Series to a concert series offering performances from jazz to ballet.

Calvary is an exciting and vital parish with a growing congregation of approximately 2,000 members. As a "House of Prayer for All People," Calvary encourages diversity and welcomes all persons.
